Now that summer is in full swing and I got my bearings on some of the things on my to do list I decided its time to turn to my closet for what to wear to all these fun outings and events.
I am already thinking of all the cute looks I can wear and pieces I can bring back from years past to help tie in a little bit of old with new. I must admit I am more of a fall and winter fashion girl I still can’t resist the occasional cute summer dress.
After spending so much time at home I’m ready to go out again, experiment with new trends and take bigger fashion risks, after all its been a long year of sweatpants and hoodies.
Back in the beginning of last year I took a trip down south of the border to Cancun, Mexico for a little girls getaway and that’s what you’ll see here with a few of my looks. I find all these pieces to still be some of my favorites and I plan to bring them back this year as I bring out my summer clothes from hiding.

I can’t get enough of the white lace dress number I wore for a late night beach side dinner. It just fits like a glove on me and white always looks good with a nice tan. I might try to switch things up this year when I wear it by adding a pop of color with an accessory.
This crochet set was inspired by Desi Perkins who I saw wore something similar a few years back on one of her influencer trips. I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off but it was a fun look to have at the resort but for obvious reasons I wouldn’t recommend tanning in it. Can someone say bad tan lines?
I love backless pieces and this red dress is no different. With the summer heat I needed something breathable and lightweight and this dress checks both of those boxes.
